New year, new me! This is a statement everyone hears every year as the clock turns to 12 midnight and January 1 hits. Most people usually create a New Years Resolution, and at the top of that list for most people, is making choices that would lead to a healthier lifestyle. Even I made a New Year’s Resolution promising to lead a  healthier lifestyle, exercising, eating healthier, and even taking vitamins. However, as I get older, it gets harder and harder to do things I used to do when I was younger, my knees get creakier, my back aches more often, and moving is a lot heavier. Additionally, eating is also just as hard, absorbing the nutrients I need from my food becomes kind of a challenge. Because of this I usually need to drink supplements and meal replacers to ensure that I receive enough nutrients needed to stay healthy. I have had many experiences of drinking milk meant to be a food supplement, but one brand that I had very good experience with is Abbott.

Before the pandemic, I was always on the go, so much so that sometimes I don’t have the time to grab food and I let my hunger pass. Because of this I usually try to pick up ready to drink food supplements, the ready to drink food supplement that I would usually go for was Ensure produced by Abbott. With both taste and completeness in nutrients, this was always my go to product, but since the pandemic is still on going I’m usually stuck at home, and when I’m not doing chores or attending events hosted online, I like to make a glass of the Ensure Gold HMB Vanilla flavor that really helps me get my day going. This milk contains HMB which helps with the retention of muscle mass, something that definitely gets harder as we get older. For my father that lives with me, I usually opt to give him a glass of Glucerna Vanilla Flavor, this milk is better geared towards people who have dietary restrictions due to Diabetes, but not only that, it also includes high amounts of Vitamin D which helps support the absorption of Calcium and improves bone strength, which he definitely needs after his knees gave out a couple of years back. All these products are great, but since the pandemic still isn’t over, buying it is usually a hassle since the cans are bulky and heavy, and so I rely on online shopping platforms when buying my stock of Ensure Gold and Glucerna.

Primarily, I use the internationally renowned online shopping platform Shopee when buying my milk, not only is it easy to use, they also usually offer a lot of discounts and promos which really help me a lot with saving a huge chunk of change.
