SNAP’s Brigada Eskwela brings a better learning environment to schools

SN Aboitiz Power Group (SNAP) wrapped up its three-week long annual support to the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela (BE) benefiting 24 schools and around 4,000 learners from Ifugao, Isabela, and Benguet for this year’s “Bayanihan Para sa MATATAG na Paaralan” initiative.

 

On July 22, 2024, SNAP-Benguet held the first leg of Brigada Eskwela at Botic Elementary School, Tinongdan Elementary School, Binga Elementary School, Binga National High School, and Trazon Fianza Sr. High School, all located in Brgy. Tinongdan, Itogon, Benguet as well as at Ambuklao Elementary School and Ambuklao National High School in Brgy. Ambuklao, Bokod, Benguet. Each school received a complete set of painting materials. In addition, an Information Education and Communication (IEC) session on Ligtas Dengue was also conducted at Tinongdan Elementary School.

SNAP-Benguet continued distributing paint and cleaning materials in Bokod, Benguet in August. The materials were provided to Adonot Elementary School, Banao Elementary School, Lebbeng Elementary School, Bangao Elementary School, Pilpiok Elementary School, Kawal Elementary School, Ekip Elementary School, Karao Elementary School, Bila Elementary School, Daclan Elementary School, Nawal Elementary School, and Bokod Central School.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, SNAP-Magat’s Brigada Eskwela activities kicked off on July 29, 2024. Ramon Central School received 43 bags of cement for the improvement of the school’s reading nook. Gen. Aguinaldo Elementary School, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo National High School, and Ambatali Elementary School in Ramon, Isabela received painting materials, electrical wiring for aircon installation, and water pressure pump and fittings for the school water system, respectively.

 

SNAP-Magat also provided paint materials support to Sto. Domingo Elementary School in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.

 

Since 2008, SNAP Group has been a long-time supporter of DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela program to ensure that educational facilities are well-maintained and safe. The company believes that programs like BE help students focus better and improve their academic performance. BE is a nationwide school maintenance program of DepEd that engages all education stakeholders to contribute their time, efforts, and resources to ensure that public schools are ready for the school opening.
