The Jollibee Group recently partnered with the Local Government of Quezon City to provide free COVID-19 vaccines for almost 200 economic frontliners from its restaurants including Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking, Burger King, Red Ribbon, and Panda Express. The inoculation is part of Quezon City’s “Bakuna Nights” initiative which seeks to encourage more vaccinations by accommodating workers at night from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

“Getting our economy back on track will be a true team effort from all sectors. We’re thankful for the Quezon City LGU for this innovative initiative to get more people vaccinated. By making the vaccination available at night, the free vaccination gets extended to people who have to work during the day. This will be a boost to the country’s efforts to help keep people safe and more protected, and we are happy to support this,” said Jollibee Group Chief Sustainability and Public Affairs Officer Jose Miñana, Jr.
This June, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) approved the deployment of vaccines to people under the A4 priority group, which includes workers in fast food establishments and other private sector employees who are required to work outside their places of residence.
The Jollibee Group is also partnering with other local government units to help vaccinate more members of its store teams, as well as to optimize the available supply of vaccines in the country.
The company is also ready to roll out its own Vaccination Program for its employees in the Philippines, as well as employees’ dependents and extended family and household members. It has also extended the vaccine sourcing for employees of its partner employers and franchisees. The Jollibee Group’s vaccination program will cover teams from Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwich, Burger King, Red Ribbon, Panda Express, PHO24, commissaries, distribution centers, support functions, and the Jollibee Group Foundation.
