Tanduay begins the new year on a high note, building on its accomplishments from the past year. From winning prestigious international medals to unveiling its newest Tanduay Calendar Girl, the iconic Filipino brand has solidified its position as one of the spirits industry’s leading brands.

Tan III during last year’s Tanduay Calendar Girl event.
A Legacy of Winning
Founded in 1854, Tanduay began as a small distillery in Manila and has since grown into a global powerhouse. In 2024 alone, the brand clinched honors at different international spirits competitions.
Tanduay Double Rum received gold awards from the Beverage Testing Institute and the SIP Awards. Tanduay Asian Rum Gold also won a gold in the Best Buy Category of the Beverage Testing Institute and an Innovation Award at the SIP Awards.
Tanduay Asian Rum Silver was bestowed gold awards at the San Diego Spirits Festival, and Especia Spiced Rum earned a gold and a Best in Category for Spiced Rum award at the New Orleans Spirits Competition.
Even Tanduay’s newest products, the Tanduay Reserve Rum – 10 Years and the Tanduay Reserve Rum – Overproof, received immediate recognition. The former won both a Master Medal and Taste Master Award, while the latter earned gold at the Asian Spirits Masters by The Spirits Business. These accolades underscore Tanduay’s consistent commitment to crafting exceptional rum products of world-class standards.
A Celebration of Craft and Culture
Last year, Tanduay once again hosted its highly anticipated annual rum festival in partnership with the local government of Bacolod. Now in its fourth year of celebrating the region’s quality sugarcane from which Tanduay rums are made, the festival held exciting Culinaria, Mixology, and Flairtending competitions that highlighted the region’s best talents.
The event ended with the highly anticipated concert of Juan Karlos and Allmo$t. Before the concert, a street dance competition and a grand motorcade through the city’s streets amplified the festive atmosphere.
A Star-Studded Partnership
Adding to its 2024 triumphs, Tanduay announced its 2025 Calendar Girl: award-winning actress Kim Chiu. Her unveiling was marked by a spectacular and artfully executed production, with “Aura” as its theme.
“For decades, the Tanduay Calendar Girl has symbolized strength, beauty, and confidence, inspiring people across generations. She represents more than a role—it’s a statement of resilience and empowerment, qualities that resonate deeply with our market and our brand,” said Tan.
Expanding Horizons
Tanduay also broke new ground in 2024 by entering the Czech Republic and South Korea markets. Plans are underway to establish a brand presence in France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, the Nordic Region, and Latin America.
As of January 2025, Tanduay products are available in Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Malta, New Zealand, People’s Republic of China, Peru, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, United States, and United Kingdom.
