Overseas Filipino workers flying home for Christmas are being welcomed with various treats at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The gift-giving activity was launched during a Christmas tree lighting ceremony held on December 12 at the NAIA Terminal 1. At the event, OFWs from Riyadh, Doha, and Hong Kong received premium items and prizes from executives of leading telecoms and digital services provider PLDT, and its subsidiaries Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), and PLDT Global Corporation. This event was also supported by the Manila International Airport Authority, SM Supermalls, Shakeys, Mondelez, Penshoppe, Fiesta, R. Lapids, Duty Free, and the PLDT-Smart Foundation.
Returning OFWs just need to present their proof of overseas employment at the PLDT Global or Smart booths in order to get a chance to win special prizes. The gifts up for giving are grocery packages, travel sets, premium items, a buffet for two, roundtrip flights, brand new smartphones and other surprises. Daily draws will start on December 12 until December 20, 2019.
“This is a great opportunity for us to give our kababayans a warm welcome home for the holiday season. We hope that our gifts bring more happiness to them and their families this Christmas,” said Albert Villa-Real, Chief Commercial Officer at PLDT Global. “This is part of our commitment to ensure that our #OFWins wherever they are in the world,” added Villa-Real.
