Ballet Manila, the Philippines’ most solidly trained classical ballet company, held a special preview of its upcoming production of Sleeping Beauty at the Ballet Manila studios in Pasay City. The production is part of the company’s 24th performance season and is the conclusion of Lisa Macuja Elizalde’s Princess Trilogy. Featuring an original choreography by the prima ballerina herself, Ballet Manila’s Sleeping Beauty will feature new storylines and characters, exciting crossovers, and unexpected twists. It was staged at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila on January 18 at 6:00 PM and January 19 at 3:00 PM.
